Over the past six-plus years, I’ve helped this group grow from a “scrappy” team of young professionals to an evolved organization that builds and innovates as fast as Uber itself. And as the lone Content Editor on a small but nimble team of three Creative experts, my role has been to give this team—and the wider People & Places organization—its voice. As a content creator, I’ve drafted copy for a variety of projects, including blogs, video scripts, company-wide email communications, marketing collateral (including tailored messaging principles and product taglines), and executive talking points. And most recently, I wrote the script for a live awards show that was held before all Uber employees. As an editor, I created the style guidelines for a team of 50-plus L&D professionals, and I work to elevate the quality of every high-profile deliverable we build for our audience of managers, individuals, and teams. This includes eLearnings, live workshops, newsletters/comms, web pages, performance tools, and much more. Most recently, I’ve worked to refine and simplify the messaging for our first-ever mobile-based learning program, designed for aspiring managers. And when I’m not writing or editing, I’m working with a team of communications professionals to craft and refine our organization’s internal comms strategy.(Either that.or possibly sleeping.)
