ABOUT YI YUAN
Yi Yuan received his BSc degree with distinction in Electronic Engineering from Tianjin University of Technology, Tianjin, China, in 2006, followed by an MSc degree with distinction in Mobile Communications from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, U.K, in 2009. In 2014, he completed his joint PhD degree in Wireless Communications from both Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh, U.K. He has been an IET Chartered Engineer (CEng) since 2019.Yi Yuan’s research interests span a broad spectrum of cutting-edge areas, including space computing systems, wireless MIMO channel modeling and simulation, vehicular communications, standardization for wireless IoT, 4G LTE-A systems, and innovative 5G wireless technologies. With a solid academic foundation and extensive expertise, Yi Yuan has made significant contributions to advancing academia education, industrial wireless solutions, and continues to explore new frontiers in future space computing systems.
