ABOUT YASH KULSHRESHTHA

I am currently working at Arcadis Canada (formerly IBI Group) as a Transportation Planner and have an experience of 4 years working on planning and designing of active transportation and Rapid Transit in Ontario and across Canada, I have also worked on the planning and consultation of Environmental assessment (TPAP) for Rapid Transit Project and other municipal EA projects. I also have an international experience of 2 years, working independently in a fast paced environment in India that provided me a complete project design, coordination and implementation experience. Starting with preparing designs for a small project, I was trained to understand site execution before I was assigned future projects. Learning lessons from the field implementation geared me up to improvise designs in larger projects that were assigned to me. My key accomplishment included one of my innovative design for the highway project which lead to a saving of around $1M CAD. My design efficiency, coordination with junior staff and attention to detail provided timely approvals with minimal revisions as a result of which our team was able to complete the project 6 months ahead of scheduled completion date and company was awarded a bonus of $4.4M CAD. Additionally, my work constantly involved participating in meetings, dealing with authorities and sub-consultants which made me highly competent in both oral and written communication I have completed my master\'s in civil engineering with an emphasis in Transportation and Planning engineering from University of Toronto and also completed University of Toronto ELLITE certification in Leadership, Entrepreneurship & Innovation. IT/Statistical Tools: Excel, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation
