ABOUT XAVIER GAUTHIER

Currently Head of Champagne at Liberty Wines, I oversee a dynamic portfolio of some of the most prestigious Champagne brands for the UK and Irish markets, driving growth, brand positioning, and strategic partnerships across hospitality and retail.I also lead a growing team of seven passionate professionals, fostering a high-performance culture in an exciting and expanding business.Originally from France, I began my career at Diageo in London in 2014, following a double degree in international business from Dublin City University (Ireland) and NEOMA Business School (France), along with experiences in Singapore and Paris. At Diageo, I developed strong analytical and commercial expertise, progressing through roles in reporting, grocery retail, on-trade, and wholesale account management, overseeing key UK and European customers.Building on this foundation, I transitioned into the world of wine as Head of National Accounts for MDCV UK, leading the expansion of Provence Rosé and English Sparkling Wine across the UK, Ireland, and the Channel Islands.Having lived and worked in New Zealand, Ireland, Singapore, France, and England, I bring a global perspective and a deep understanding of different ways of working. My adaptability, curiosity, and passion for learning continuously drive me to seek new opportunities for growth and excellence in premium wines and spirits.
