As a Manufacturing Applications Engineer, I specialise in understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions using SolidCAM software. My role involves pre-sales meetings to assess customer requirements and demonstrate how SolidCAM aligns with their manufacturing capabilities and processes.In addition, I also take on customer consultancy services, which include part programming as well as feasibility studies. This allows me to offer bespoke solutions that address specific customer challenges and optimise their manufacturing processes. As part of the feasibility studies, I assess the viability of proposed manufacturing solutions, ensuring that customers can make informed decisions before implementation.I develop and write post processors for 3,4 and 5-axis mills as well as complex multi-channel mill-turn machines and swiss/sliding heads, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency. Additionally, I provide in-depth post testing and optimisation to ensure peak performance of CNC programmes.I also provide ongoing remote and phone support for SolidCAM software applications, troubleshooting and resolving any issues.Additionally, I deliver in-depth training courses to equip customers with the knowledge and skills to effectively use SolidCAM in their operations.
