ABOUT MARK VAN DANG

An enthusiastic, self-motivated, Master of Aeronautical and Aerospace graduate from the University of Leeds who is aspiring to become a renowned Aerodynamicist or Design Engineer in the Aeronautics or Motorsport industry. With a keen interest in the computational and design aspects of engineering, Mark has shown competence using industry-wide Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis and Computer Aided Design software such as ANSYS Fluent, ABAQUS, MATLAB, LabVIEW and SOLIDWORKS in many projects throughout his 4 years at the University of Leeds. Contributing to his academic studies, Mark has practical, hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, machining and metal work. Working on a Handley Page Jetstream T.1 137 aircraft, some of the maintenance tasks carried out included removing, examining and refitting parts such as the brake transmitter, radius rod, fuel filter and flaps, and performing a patch repair in accordance to the JAR-OPS standard and EASA Part-66 syllabus.
