Responsibilities: Lead for metrology related activities across ~ 500 employee machining & assembly facility. Re-active to all internal production dimensional measurement issues covering first principle measurement, Bridge CMM, Laser & Klingelnberg gear measurement. Overall responsibility for establishing best practice methodology & SOPs for all metrology related activities. Offline and on-machine CMM programming using PC-DMIS software, utilising CAD modelling and iterative alignment techniques for all aspects of GD & T Devising routings and technical layout drawings using Solidedge & SAP for inspection activities. Support quality function for supplier activities covering aspects of GDT & overall measurement verification. Interface between design and development engineering to manufacturing operations to ensure all dimensional control operations meet requirements for its given application. Lead continuous improvement activities into the implementation of latest software & hardware advancement within bridge CMM & laser measurement to improve accuracy & repeatability.
