Assess and translate business requirements into systems requirements, define strategy, technical architecture, develop, deliver and support Cognos cubes, reporting and data warehouse projects, ensuring that recommended solutions are compatible and meet the standards set by the organization. Prepare necessary documentation, including, but not limited to, high level and detail specifications, process and data flow diagrams, report definitions•Participate in the evaluation of most appropriate technical methods of coding computer programs to solve specific business requirements. Actively participate in meetings, feasibility studies / gap analysis and propose options and recommendations for system design of required business processes.•Identify gaps between the current deployment of applications and future requirements that have evolved due to organizational growth, changes, or strategy. Translate business requirements into system definitions and solutions.•Work with business community to document functional test scenarios, test plans, and end-user acceptance testing criteria •Participate in technical design sessions, working with technical resources, to provide insight during solution •Design and develop new reports and report modifications in Cognos •Support planning, budgeting and forecasting process in Cognos •Provide technical consultation associated with the use of Cognos •Identify opportunities for improvement (standardization, simplification, etc.)
