In my role as Principal Process Engineer, I design or modify process cooling or heating systems for refineries, and chemical and nuclear plants. I am also a CAPEX Manager; I am involved in the management and deployment of our specialized industrial equipment such as heat exchangers, hydrocarbon pumps, process vessels, and others. I also mentor in engineering.Day-to-day activities include equipment and system sizing. I routinely prepare P & IDs, PFDs, Heat and Material Balance; for temporary cooling and heating systems. Process simulation is a key part of my design work.I also give process design recommendations, considering technical requirements, cost, available space, time limitations, company planning, and economic factors. Equipment typically used in my designs include; cooling towers, mechanical chillers, heat exchangers (Shell & Tube and Shell and Plate), pumps, generators, compressors, air handlers etc
