ABOUT WILLIAM JETT

Over 27 years in the insurance industry leading a team of great individuals to build IT into a strategic asset for all areas of the business (including Rating, Claims, Policy Processing, Customer Service, e-Commerce, Marketing, Pricing, Product development and Accounting). Working hand-in-hand with the users and business owners to set joint vision and goals, negotiating requirements to achieve optimal business value, creating, automating and optimizing processes, building and growing teams, mentoring future leaders, holding people accountable for results, defining and executing plans for personnel development, budgeting, and managing procurement.Designing, implementing and optimizing systems development with quality assurance integration focused on web and heavy client applications (Microsoft/Intel and Java/Sun Technologies) with mainframe integration across client/server, N-tier, Service Grid and Cloud architectures (mostly internally hosted).Working with internal and external IT auditors defining process control narratives, achieving and ensuring continual Sarbanes Oxley and PCI compliance and successfully passing multiple state DOI audits.Creating, proposing the IT budget (approx.$30 MM) then monitoring and controlling budget burn rates as we justified project expenditures.Evaluating and integrating various PMI processes and procedures as well as introducing, coaching and evangelizing agile software development practices.
