A pro-active, highly experienced Logistics & Distribution professional with a proven track record of developing and driving supply chain improvements in the field of logistics, warehouse and retail operations. Excels at maximising productivity and cost control by engaging work colleagues to optimise results Achievements:• As sole Ops Manager on night shifts with over 300 staff and 60 vehicles, achieved very tight operational deadlines, meeting exacting accuracy and quality standards. Most importantly met the expectations of the customer, with all targets being met or exceeded throughout the year.• Worked with development team on successful implementation of a Red Prairie warehouse management system resulting in smooth transition of the new system within 6 weeks. • Opening of Milton Keynes IKEA Store in 31 weeks, fastest build ever. Responsible for all aspects of budget planning for the entire logistics operations. Successfully created, recruited and trained more than 50 warehouse operatives, 8 Supervisors and 2 Warehouse Managers. Participated in Assessment Centres and interviews based on more than applicants. • Key member of a project team which set up the logistics operation and rebuilding of the following IKEA Stores: Poland-Warsaw, Hungary-Budapest, Nederland-Utrecht, UK-Edmonton. Implemented a complete internal warehouse redesign to improve product security (unaccountable stock losses reduced by 5%), whilst creating more efficient product locations to significantly enhance productivity and pick rates (increased by 25%). • As a Logistics Trainee, implemented a new internal warehouse system as a Super User (MHS & SRS) and introduced new Lean Logistics concept for all logistics teams in Poland to achieve the highest efficiency and productivity.
