ABOUT WENDY JIANG
Wendy Jiang graduated from Pennsylvania State University, holding a Bachelor and Master Degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus in Lighting, as well as a Minor in Economics & Architectural Studies. In the summer of 2016, Wendy began her career as a lighting designer at the Office for Visual Interaction in New York City.During her time at Penn State, Wendy has been a member of the Illumination Engineering Society and Phi Sigma Rho. She participated in the study abroad program in Rome, Italy developing her illustration skills and knowledge of daylight systems. She, along with her thesis team “Subsidium”, were the recipient of the Best Integrated Building Design Award of the AEI Student Design Competition, where she was responsible for the lighting and daylighting aspects of the multi-disciplinary project design. Prior to joining OVI, Wendy completed internships with the Nanjing International Lighting Festival Planning Committee and The W2 Architecture where she explored differences in architecture and architectural engineering, gained insight and experience with conceptual lighting design development, and utilized her advanced skills in 3D software programs including Rhino and Revit.Wendy is fluent in Mandarin and English. In her spare time, she loves to explore different cities, their culture, and their communities. She believes the adventures that past and ahead will continue to refresh and boost her creative outlook.
