Overall responsibility for the day to day functioning of two warehouses covering ft •Managing a team of 23 staff including pickers/ packers, supervisors, drivers and forklift operators •Reviewing current suppliers, checking that they are providing value for money and implementing cost saving measures to ensure competitiveness and re negotiating deals if necessary •Accountable for security on site, attending alarm calls and managing the relationship with the external security partner •Overseeing the WMS system(paperless warehouse management system) and carrying out periodic stock checks to verify results against WMS •Engaging the services of Citaton and assisting with the drafting of health and safety manuals for all staff and carrying out companywide risk assessments •Working with the senior management team to plan and implement a new Internet element to the business, allocating warehouse space, working with WMS to automatically receive orders to the warehouse system and adequately resourcing to ensure the business can cope with demand •Ensuring the warehouses are running smoothly, troubleshooting issues and managing all time, space and resource challenges
