Having 20+ years experience in purchasing & supply chain management I am able to provide process improvements that deliver innovative customer solutions and commercially sound results.I am an experienced negotiator used to achieving savings across production materials, sub-contract services, indirect goods / services as well as identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.Member of the Senior Management Team helping to drive the company forward into new markets. Current organisation has grown significantly over the last 7 years adding additional major customer and I was heavily involved in the set up of a new manufacturing facility. This involved sole responsibility for warehouse design and set up including all pallet racking, storage equipment and selection of MHE including tendering and negotiation with all related suppliers. Achievements include- Overseeing Supply Chain involvement whilst company grew turnover by 88% over 5 year period- Facilitating on-time set up of new facility in terms of warehouse plan and layout (pallet racking and MHE requirements)- Creating all written procedures and Work Instructions in line with IATF 16949 requirements from scratch- Reduced lead-times and increased stock availability by 7% within 8 months of project start- 7% reduction in surface finishing costs within 12 months of joining the company- 13% reduction in costs of indirect goods / services within 15 months of taking sole responsibility for this area- 6% saving on fleet costs over a 3 year lease cycle for vehicle fleet.I\'m currently seconded out of the Supply Chain role to project manage the re-implementation of our ERP system throughout the company, which draws upon my previous project management experience of implementing SAP into the procurement division at Schueco and Movex ERP system into Roulunds Codan. Past project management included single handedly handling the introduction of brake hose assemblies from Korean partner into OEM automotive customer at Tier 1 level.I am a proven self-starter looking to implement continuous improvement in all areas under my responsibility. I build solid relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders alike and am very much a team player. I particularly enjoy developing teams and succession planning as well as dealing with the here and now.
