As Co-Leader of the Diversity and Equity Committee, I help lead a student group focused on promoting inclusion, equality, and fairness within the school community. Our aim is to ensure all students’ voices are heard, challenge inequality, and support positive change through student-led initiatives.Key Responsibilities & Achievements:• Lead a team of Year 12 and 13 students to plan and deliver diversity and inclusion projects at Cotham School.• Organise and facilitate discussions on identity, privilege, and social equality to raise awareness and understanding.• Collaborate with staff and school leaders to support inclusive policies and empower student voices.• Delivered a speech at Cotham School’s African Caribbean and Dual Heritage Celebration Evening (2025), introducing a student-produced film exploring the experiences of young Black people and the importance of authentic storytelling.• Represented Post 16 students at cultural and awareness events, strengthening engagement between students and the wider school community.This role has developed my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while enhancing my understanding of equity, inclusion, and social justice.
