ABOUT WADE SHELTON
Complexity is the enemy of execution. Agile processes, with their short cycles and feedback loops, can help to avoid this enemy or at least reduce its impact.\"- Ken Schwaber, Co-Creator of ScrumI\'ve dedicated my career to the principle of simplifying complexity to help businesses achieve their goals. I approach challenges with a balance of technical acumen, strategic foresight, and a focus on human-centric solutions. Agility is the foundation of this approach, emphasizing transparency, adaptability, and continuous value delivery.Currently serving as the Vice President of Agility at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, I drive product delivery and Agile maturity for one of the leading providers of K-12 educational resources. I lead a dynamic team, manage significant budgets, and have been instrumental in integrating pivotal acquisitions that are reshaping educational paradigms. My tenure at NWEA was multifaceted. I undertook various roles, guiding the organization towards becoming fully agile, and was integral in the launch of a cloud-based platform, which became a cornerstone for a new business division. At Slalom Consulting, I engaged with diverse industries, ranging from education to retail. My time at Evisions allowed me to refine product development processes, while with Viewpoint, I implemented an agile product delivery model, enhancing delivery consistency. One role I\'m particularly proud of is with Nike. There, I led talented teams and program managers responsible for launching innovative products, such as the Nike+ GPS Running App and the FuelBand. This experience deepened my understanding of global markets and the importance of cross-organizational collaboration, from software and hardware development to marketing and distribution. My experience working directly within full-stack development and creative teams, such as at ALL in Mexico City where we combined file-sharing with social media, have given me a holistic view of a wide range of technological landscapes. I am deeply committed to translating visionary ideas into actionable outcomes. I\'m always open to connecting with those who share a similar passion or have intriguing insights to share.
