ABOUT VOLKER STEIN
Do you know all pitfalls of international tax? I know how to avoid them due to my experience in helping clients out and in proactively leading major international tax optimization projects for multinationals in numerous industry sectors. I am head of PwC\'s tax department in the North Rhine-Westphalia region in Germany, and specialized in international tax optimization projects for multinational companies. After studying Economics in Germany and the UK, I started my career at a medium-sized tax advisory company and then worked at Arthur Andersen in Düsseldorf, Germany. Having joined PwC Düsseldorf in 1995, I became tax partner in 1998. Since 2004 I am a member of the German Tax Leadership Team. As a Certified Tax Advisor, I have extensive experience in international and corporate tax, inbound and outbound planning, buy-side due diligence, vendor due diligence and reorganization. In my current position, I am mainly concerned with tax consulting on international transactions. Tax schemes change constantly, and each change re-ignites the discussion among tax specialists. I frequently contribute to this discussion; and I am up for debate here on LinkedIn!
