Virginia is a London based architect with over 14 years of experience on a variety of projects like Apple Park in California, Hammersmith & Fulham Civic Campus London, Transport for London (TfL) headquarters in London or DCN – Distrito Castellana Norte in Spain and across all different work stages, from competition winning schemes to planning applications and project completion on site. Virginia is a strong team leader passionate about project narrative and concept. With Foster + Partners, she worked for 4 years from the conceptual stages of Apple Park to detail development. She lead the design of the restaurant area for 2500 people, the main social space – the campus main square – a quadruple-height dining hall and outdoor terraces that encourage interaction. Virginia helped defining the main concept working with Apple designers close by and all the technical detail needed to make it real. More recently with RSHP, she had a key role on winning several jobs as Shenzhen Hong Kong Plaza, QFH Tower and Urban Living Room working with Richard Rogers. She has a natural skill to guide and mentor others in the company as well as propose strategies to develop the work and keep the coherence and consistency of the concept across all project stages. She is a versatile architect able to tackle many side of the jobs with an amazing energy and sharp intelligence, great aptitudes to hand sketching and quickly communicate ideas. She has the ability to approached every task from a design perspective: looking to safeguard the design intent at every stage of the project, and keeping consultants informed to maintain quality and high standards throughout the construction process.
