I’ve been building apps since my third year of undergrad. First it was Flutter mobile apps for clients, real users, production code. I did that for about two years across two companies before deciding I wanted to go deeper on the engineering side, which is why I’m at Rutgers now.Right now I work at the university while studying. One job is maintaining a web platform that people actually use daily. The other was building internal tools for the CS department one of them turned a bunch of YAML files and diagrams into auto-generated assignments for 200+ students. That one was genuinely fun to figure out.Outside of that I’ve been building on my own. Jarvis is a voice assistant that runs completely offline no API keys, no internet dependency, just Python talking to your computer. UniNest is a housing platform I built for students looking for roommates. These aren’t portfolio filler. I built them because I wanted to solve something.The security angle is newer but it’s real. Once you’ve built enough systems you start thinking about how they fail not just bugs but actual attack surfaces. My coursework pushed that further and now I genuinely want to work on systems where security is baked in from the start, not bolted on after.
