ABOUT VINCENT CAZENAVE

After the Naval Academy I spent 16 years in the French Navy as officer and helicopter pilot onboard several vessels. I had an extensive experience of management (up to 100 people) and operations. I resigned with the rank of Commander. I worked then 6 years in several companies dedicated to Risk and Crisis management (EADS, GEOS and the security department of Alstom) In 2011, I joined the newly created Wind Offshore department of Alstom, first in Spain, and then in France. I was involved in all the steps of the development of this new entity: construction of a 6MW prototype wind turbine, installation onshore, installation offshore, first as EHS manager, then as operation manager. I built from scratch the Installation Departement, recruiting and leading 10 engineers with whom we developped the procedures, tools and documentation that allowed the successfull installation of the Block Island Wind farm (2016 first offshore wind farm in the US) and Merkur (2018: 66 turbines off the coast of Germany). As Installation package manager and & Construction manager for these two project I was in charge of nearly everything related to Installation from the preparation phase (definition of the strategy with customer and other parties, contracting the manpower, writing and getting approved the documentation) to the execution onboard (4 months offshore in 2018 as Construction Lead) and then in charge of M&E Completion. End of 2019, after the installation in Rotterdam of the 12MW GE turbine prototype, I decided to open a new page and create Narval Solutions, engineering company dedicated to the preparation and execution of offshore projects Since the creation of NaRval Solutions, and appart from various engineering studies performed for various players of the offshore wind business, my main assignements were - Superintendent on behalf of Jan de Nul onboard Blue Tern for the WTG installation of the Trianel 2 project (Senvion 6.3MW turbines) in Germany - Offshore project manager, on behalf of GWS, for the erection of 21 Hitachi 5.2MW offshore turbines in Taiwan - Lead Engineer and Construction Manager for the decommissioning of a 6MW turbine and foundation End of 2023, NaRval Solutions is now 4 years old, 6 employees and above 500k€ turnover
