Curriculum Leadership • Ensure all subject groups implement the MYP framework with fidelity. • Support teachers in unit planning, including alignment with key concepts, related concepts, global contexts, and ATL skills. • Review and provide feedback on unit planners, assessments, and alignment with programme requirements. • Lead the schoolwide integration of Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills.2. Professional Development & Teacher Support • Organize and facilitate internal PD for staff on IB philosophy, MYP assessment, and teaching practices. • Mentor new IB teachers; provide coaching and model strategies. • Ensure teachers have access to, and complete, required IB workshops.3. Assessment & Reporting • Oversee MYP assessment practices (criteria-based assessment, standardization). • Lead moderation and standardization sessions for each subject group. • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of student progress aligned with MYP guidelines. • Manage on-screen examinations (if applicable).4. Programme Management & Compliance • Ensure the school meets all IB Programme Standards and Practices. • Maintain the MYP Handbook and ensure school policies (academic integrity, language, assessment) meet IB expectations. • Prepare documents, evidence, and staff for evaluation visits. • Liaise with the IB and manage MyIB communications.5. Student Support & Programme Culture • Promote the IB learner profile throughout the school. • Support students with understanding criteria, assessment, and goal setting. • Help organize service learning and ensure it connects to the MYP framework.6. Strategic Leadership • Lead the long-term growth and sustainability of the MYP. • Use data to inform programme improvements. • Ensure alignment between MYP and other programmes (PYP/DP/CP if applicable).

With over 13 years of work experience, I am a passionate and versatile learning technology manager who specializes in designing, implementing, and evaluating learning technology programs and solutions for K-12 education. I am currently pursuing my EdD in educational leadership, with a focus on educational leadership, instructional technology, and innovation. I am also a PE teacher who enjoys teaching physical education and wellness to students and staff. My mission is to leverage technology to enhance learning outcomes, engagement, and equity for all learners and educators in the Chicago Public Schools district. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked with students and teachers from different backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.As the learning technology manager at Chicago Public Schools, I am responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of learning technology in the district, including hardware, software, network, security, and support. I work with a team of learning technology specialists, network engineers, and IT technicians to ensure that the learning technology infrastructure and systems are reliable, efficient, and secure. I also collaborate with curriculum developers, instructional coaches, and administrators to design and deliver professional development and training programs on learning technology integration, best practices, and trends. Some of the skills that I use and develop in this role are technology integration, K-12 education, education, instructional design, project management, communication, and leadership.
