ABOUT VINAYAK AGRAHARI

I’m currently working as a Business Analyst at Wipro, supporting a US-based life insurance client, with a focus on actuarial valuation and financial reporting.In my current role, I independently lead quarterly reserve valuation for the Deferred Annuity line of business using GGY AXIS. I’m involved across the full valuation cycle - from data validation and model runs to reconciliation, reporting, and reserve trend analysis - ensuring accuracy and timely delivery under tight reporting timelines.I also work closely with data and reporting systems, managing interfaces between AXIS outputs and downstream platforms to support seamless financial reporting.A key part of my role involves reconciliation (AOM, PIFs, AOI), making sure actuarial results align with financial systems and reporting requirements across STAT, GAAP, and Tax frameworks.Over time, I’ve built strong experience in identifying and resolving data and model issues, strengthening controls, and delivering audit-ready outputs. I also enjoy improving processes, and have worked on reporting automation and analytics using Excel, Power Query, Power BI, MS Access, and Workday.Coming from a non-traditional academic background, I’ve developed my expertise through hands-on experience, taking ownership of valuation work and building a strong foundation in actuarial and financial reporting.Key areas I work in: • Actuarial valuation & reserving (Deferred Annuities)• STAT, GAAP & Tax reporting• GGY AXIS modeling & execution• Data validation & controls• Reconciliation (AOM, PIF, AOI, selection database)• Reserve trend analysis• Reporting automation & analytics
