Vikki’s career journeyMy passion for enjoying life and my love of people, food and writing led me to a career as an author, adult educator, campaign and event manager, food consultant, food stylist, food presenter and strategic communications and marketing consultant specialising in fresh produce. I trained in food and nutrition and started my career as a secondary school teacher and adult educator before working with a fantastic team of people at the Victorian Food & Nutrition Project (Deakin University) for five years. From here I developed my business Vikki Leng Enterprises, applying my experience and expertise to marketing communications and promotion of fresh produce and healthy eating. This included creating strategic communications, marketing and promotions programs for Australian grower groups including Australian Mushroom Growers, Australian Asparagus Council and Victorian Cherry Association. I have also supported promotional campaigns for Aussie Avocados, Australian Pears, Queensland Strawberries, Queensland Pineapples and Australian Stone Fruit.
