Primary responsibility includes developing the NLP service for the next-generation replacement for MTN’s digital customer assistant, Zigi. Designed and implemented a state-of-the-art agentic & RAG-based system leveraging the latest innovations in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance conversational AI capabilities, ensuring seamless integration with Zigi’s micro-service architecture.I also equipped the bot with an array of features and extended the bot to fully utilize agentic capabilities to reflect on its actions and take appropriate next steps in a controlled manner. Extensive evaluation metrics were built to monitor, measure and evaluate the bots performance, accuracy, usefulness, helpfulness, escalation rate amongst others.Engineered a scalable, high-performance NLP pipeline using FastAPI, LangChain & LangGraph, optimizing for speed and accuracy.
