Strategic Design, Coordination & Delivery- Led the end-to-end design and coordination of the inaugural Africa Development Impact Forum. With the team, developed detailed implementation plans, budgets, and governance mechanisms for both the Pre-Forum Stocktake Series and the hybrid Forum.Evidence-to-Action Model, Co-Creation & Learning Culture- Introduced an adaptive, results-based learning framework to ensure interventions are grounded in policy relevance, implementation feasibility, and continental priorities. Produced strategic briefs, concept notes, and policy engagement roadmaps to inform high-level decision-making and stakeholder participation. Multi-Sectoral Leadership & Partnerships- Forged partnerships, established and managed a multi-takeholder planning process across UN agencies, RECs, member states, think tanks, private sector players, youth networks, philanthropic institutions and multilateral agencies to shape Forum themes and outcomes. Governance, Communication & Engagement- Designed the governance framework for the Forum, including advisory structures, convening partners, and stakeholder engagement channels. Led the development of a communication and knowledge-sharing strategy for continental and international visibility. Resource Mobilization & Outreach- Initiated engagement strategies with potential funders and philanthropic partners to resource both the Forum and its follow-on “Implementation Track.” Supported proposal development, partner briefings, and investment positioning of ADIF as a catalytic convening mechanism. Representation & Thought Leadership- Represented UNECA and ADIF in high-level dialogues, consultations, and preparatory events at national, regional and international levels. Advocated for stronger policy-implementation linkages, youth-inclusive economic transformation, and multi-actor collaboration models.

Veronica is a Development Economist passionate about economic transformation and industrialization for Africa. She is an experienced user of quantitative evidence in management decisions, to formulate impactful and innovative policy solutions and business ideas. She is professional in leading new initiatives, ideas, and strategies that promote sustainable economic development, business growth, innovation, entrepreneurship, and strategic partnerships.With over a decade of working with purpose-led organizations such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, Gatsby Africa Foundation, Innovation for Poverty Action, International Growth Centre, Overseas Development Institute, and the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office. Previous 2024 Mo Ibrahim Foundation Leaders Fellow with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), where she was based at the Executive Secretary\'s Office. Previous ODI Fellow 2017-19, where she gained a deep understanding of the intrinsic challenges in public financial management that governments face. With regional experience in East Africa—spanning Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Ethiopia, and Southeast Asia (Timor-Leste)- Veronica has developed a deep understanding of both regional economic dynamics and the global development landscape. Her areas of expertise include evidence generation and evidence-based policy solutions, industrial policy, youth employment, public finance and development finance, impact evaluation, and strategic and organizational leadership. In addition to her professional achievements, Veronica serves as the Tanzania Contributor for The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and is also an alumnus of the RYLFF Sasakawa Young Leader Fellowship, having completed her MSc in Development Economics at the University of Sussex.
