My passion for advocacy started at an extremely young age, with a trip to India. Growing up, my South Asian culture intertwined with every decision I made, often writing my future for me. As a woman, my role was often associated with silence, and I was sometimes discouraged from speaking what was on my mind. Inevitably, I began questioning those expectations. This was the beginning of my passion for serving the underserved through political advocacy. Hello, My name is Veda Mungara and I\'m a high school junior, intending to concentrate in Business & Economics with a focus on International Relations, Political Science, and Women and Gender Studies as I hope to become a social impact leader in the near future.
