ABOUT VANSHIKA GUPTA
I’m fascinated by why people buy what they buy and where we draw the line.As a Marketing student at NMIMS, I spend my time studying consumer behaviour, decision making, and the psychology behind persuasion. The more I learn, the more I find myself asking uncomfortable questions about influence, ethics, and responsibility.During the pandemic, I worked with RecoverMedia, an LGBTQIA+ mental health organization, where I helped build and lead a grief management support portal. That experience shaped how I think about communication. Behind every metric is a person. Behind every strategy is a consequence.I have also explored consumer behaviour research in areas like equity trading and decision biases, which deepened my curiosity about how emotion, identity, and cognitive dissonance shape our choices.I’m especially interested in the intersection of marketing, mental health, and ethical branding. How far is too far in persuasion? Where does strategy end and manipulation begin? And what does responsible growth actually look like?If you’re building brands, studying behaviour, or questioning the system from within it, I’d love to connect.
