Leading the policy and advocacy function, working in partnership with research centres, civil society coalitions, public bodies and community stakeholders, to inform and mobilise for laws and policies that deliver social good. Conducting interpretive and participatory policy analysis, developing policy briefings and submissions to public consultations. Facilitating the exchange of knowledge, practice and learning to empower changemakers both within and outside the system to reduce inequalities of income, wealth and power. Mobilising national and local policymakers and grassroots groups as changemakers through the Socio-Economic Duty (SED). Sparking and sharing good practices, delivering training for public authorities and social change organisations and providing specialist advice. Collaboration on efforts to secure effective activation of the SED, including on the SED Expert Advisory Group to the Cabinet Office Equality Framework team, co-chairing the #1forEquality alliance and on the Make Equality Real campaign coalition. Advocating for meaningful SED statutory guidance and implementation with impact including intersectionality and co-production with stakeholders. Amplifying diverse voices of people with living experience of socio-economic disadvantage at the heart of policy-making. Part-time Mondays-Thursdays alongside freelance projects.
