ABOUT UWE REITER

Dr Uwe Reiter joined PTV Group 27 years ago. He is currently Global Project Director, reporting to the Vice President for Project Management and Services and manages the large, complex and critical projects at PTV AG. He is expert for Sustainable Transport and Mobility, with his academic, engineering and planning experience going back to his position of Rees Jeffrey\'s lecturer for Transport and the Environment at Imperial College for Science, Technology and Medicine in London (UK) between 1995 and 1996. Before becoming Global Project Director at PTV AG, he was the Head of Department for International Consulting at PTV Transport Consult GmbH. There he was responsible for customer relationship, Project acquisition, and project management of numerous projects in the fields of transport planning, traffic engineering, transport telematics, transport management and mass transit/ public transport. He leads and manages large, multidisciplinary projects and has developed general transport master plans, public transport master plans as well as transport management systems, systems for traffic control and operation for cities and regions of different sizes in different parts of the World, including Germany, Poland, Italy, Serbia, Cyprus, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, Jordan, Qatar, UAE. Prior to joining PTV, Dr Uwe Reiter was lecturer for Transport and the Environment at Imperial College (University of London, UK), where he set up a research and teaching Programme for environmental impacts of transport. He started his career after having successfully finalised his degree in Computer science at University of Karlsruhe with a 5-year Position as Research assistant at the Centre for Transport Studies at the same University. Here, he also obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering / Transport Studies.
