Since more than 20 years I am working as an IT architect, in the last 10 years with a strong focus on the insurance industry.My technical background started with systems management tasks and projects in the early days of PCs, OS/2 and LANs. Then I moved on to infrastructure management (ITIL) and integration topics and finally made it to the application level. I did some very deep work on enterprise architecture level for insurance companies, working especially on the application portfolio. I have expertise on SAP based insurance solutions, both in the life and P&C area and in the public health insurance, for the \"oscare\" solution developed by AOK Systems. I am well known for my expertise on performance topics - I have a long track of working on performance issues and task forces.My industry expertise covers health inusurance (both public and private), life and P&C insurance. Due to my involvement with health insurance I am into healthcare and telemedicine topics, and lateley very interested and involved in sensor based technologies in context with healthcare. My focus area is \"Elderly Care\" as IBM is partner in the initiative ermündigung.de.
