At Iowa State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, I lead the design, development, training, and maintenance of over 100 websites, representing more than 20 academic departments and special projects.My work focuses on collaborating closely with individual departments and units to create a cohesive brand identity that strengthens each department while aligning with the College and the broader University. This includes implementing a unified, responsive, and accessible WordPress-based theme to deliver unique functionality while maintaining brand consistency.I work with departments on goal-setting initiatives, helping them define recruitment-driven strategies that emphasize audience-focused content tailored to prospective students, alumni, faculty, and the broader community. I analyze the department\'s specific recruitment and communication goals to ensure their web presence serves not only informational needs but actively supports enrollment growth.An essential part of my role is training departments on digital best practices — equipping non-technical staff with the knowledge to manage content effectively, keep sites current, and strategically use the website as a recruitment and marketing tool for different external audiences. I emphasize how departments can optimize their sites to engage prospective students, enhance visibility, and support their academic mission.In addition to public-facing websites, I co-developed a centralized faculty and staff intranet, integrating resources and administrative tools into a single, user-friendly platform. I also contribute to college-wide communications initiatives, providing content support and copyediting for publications such as Link Magazine, Script and Score, and Math Matters.Throughout my time at Iowa State, I’ve been committed to delivering high-quality digital solutions that strengthen departmental identities, drive strategic outcomes, and elevate the College’s overall online presence.
