ABOUT TROY BAGWELL
I have served the students and staff of Decatur ISD as Director of Technology since joining the district in August 1996 before retiring in June 2021. I began my career in 1991 as a Project Specialist with the Texas Center for Educational Technology at the University of North Texas. I then went on to be Technology Coordinator for the CREST Center for Professional Development and Technology at the The University of Texas at Arlington before coming to Decatur ISD. I also serve as a Board Member of the Decatur Public Library, CASA of Wise and Jack Counties, and the Wise County Art Association. I am a proud Apple Distinguished Educator Class of 2013. I live in Decatur, Texas with my wife and I have two children, Grace and Sam, both attending college.
