Restructured the club’s partnership system and project outreach formats, securing new sponsors and material donations for EMPOWER; increasing funding and expanding project scopes by improving access to prototyping tools and materials. Initiated new design projects and discovered research opportunities through sponsor, faculty, and local community relationships, providing additional experience for 100+ biomedical engineering and multidisciplinary students in the club. Organized and facilitated industry information sessions and recruiting events, as well as establishing a professional advisory panel of engineering and medical professionals to guide project direction and critique student final designs.

ABOUT TREVOR WILKINSON

I’m a Biomedical Engineering senior at Cal Poly SLO, graduating in June of 2026. I’m passionate about designing wearable and patient-centered medical technologies that deliver accessible, sustainable, and comfortable solutions for diverse users. My experience spans device design, modeling and simulation, rapid prototyping, circuit layout, signal filtering, testing design, and human factors engineering. I’m currently seeking roles in R&D and Product Development for medical devices, Electrophysiology and wearable technologies, or rehabilitation engineering where I can contribute to innovative teams by bridging engineering solutions with user-focused designs. One of my most valuable experiences has been leading of a 10-member interdisciplinary engineering team; developing a Bluetooth-enabled neuromodulation therapy device for chronic pain in diabetic and osteoarthritic patients.
