I’m a journalist who believes in the power of storytelling to inform, engage, and inspire. Whether through writing, reporting, or video production, my goal is always to make complex topics accessible and engaging for a wide audience.Most recently, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute as a Senior Staff Writer for Ka Leo, where I’ve explored stories about the University of Hawai’i and the local community. In this role, I’ve gained experience in conducting in-depth interviews, researching complex issues, and presenting information in a way that captures the reader’s attention and brings the story to life.My time as a contributing reporter at Civil Beat helped me refine my reporting skills in a fast-paced environment. I focused on environmental issues in Hawai’i, working closely with state legislators to track bills and developments during the legislative session.In addition to writing, I’ve found a passion for media production. As a student anchor and producer for UHMtv Show 32, I collaborated with a talented team to create local stories that connected with viewers, giving me hands-on experience in video production and broadcasting.What excites me most about journalism is the opportunity to explore diverse perspectives, amplify voices that might otherwise go unheard, and push the boundaries of how stories are told. Whether through traditional media or digital platforms, I’m always looking for ways to innovate in how we share and experience news.At my core, I’m driven by the desire to craft narratives that not only inform, but also spark conversation and action. I’m eager to continue learning, growing, and telling stories that make a real impact.
