In her previous role, she directed the Integrated Absence Management & Vocational Services and Unemployment Program at the university\'s Office of Human Resources. She managed a team of approximately 18 professionals who handled services related to disability, workers\' compensation, unemployment, and family medical leave.One of Tori\'s significant achievements at The Ohio State University includes centralization of absence management and the design and development of the Transitional Work Policy for the university and its medical centers, which resulted in substantial financial savings. Her efforts saved the university $4.2 million in the first year and continued to save approximately $23 million over time. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in changing Ohio legislation through HB487, allowing university hospitals to self-insure workers\' compensation. This legislative change, signed into law by Governor John Kasich in 2012, made The Ohio State University the first public institution in Ohio to self-insure workers\' compensation.Tori Weeks\' extensive background and accomplishments illustrate her expertise and leadership in the fields of human resources, benefits services, and health and productivity analytics.
