ABOUT TOM JOHNSON
I am a very creative person and enjoy making scientific concepts more accessible to others. My creative side means i particularly enjoy putting my own unique creative spin on knowledge transfer, in order to suit the diverse range of people that I work with: I trained as a Chemical Engineer at Lancaster University however post University joined Fujitsu UK. I worked as a technical operator (utilising Sharepoint, C# and some SQL), as well as being a service delivery manager for the HMRC account. I then made the decision to move back to the physical sciences as this is where my interests lie. I joined Lucideon, a leading materials development and testing organisation where I worked as a Technical Sales consultant and was promoted to Materials Testing Product Manager. Following Lucideon I worked as a Technical Claims Specialist focussing on product marketing at Unilever responsible for global brands Sunsilk & Dove. I currently work for Dechra Veterinary Products and am responsible for the coordination and management of marketing campaigns and commercial approaches across a range of brands for the UK & Ireland: I am a keen artist with my own personal art brand (@Inkser_art) whereby I manage the marketing, production and logistics of orders and commissions. I also enjoy wildlife photography in my spare time with a particular interest in British raptors.
