Cover Supervisor at Outwood Grange Academies Trust where I cover the absence of fellow colleagues by covering their lessons. In my role I frequently cover lessons across a variety of disciplines which enhances my knowledge and expertise in subjects at KS3 and KS4 level.Key duties include- Teaching lessons across all subjects whether one off or fixed for an interim period - Upholding academy standards and guidelines ensuring each student receives a fair education- Supporting Senior Leaders across the academy in implementing strategies to maximise student engagement - Supporting external cover agency staff in delivering lessons by ensuring students are engaging and focused- Regularly being assigned Lunch and Break duty, overseeing students and ensuring students can thrive in a safe environment

ABOUT TOHEED KHAN
Toheed Khan is an Undergraduate History and Politics student at the University of Nottingham and Cover Supervisor at Outwood Grange Academies Trust. Coming from a family where Toheed is the first child to attend university, he values the importance of education. Toheed now gives back to the academy that helped him succeed, achieving As at GCSE and As at A Level by working as a Cover Supervisor as well as taking on additional responsibilities such as inclusion and learning. Toheed believes every child has potential and should be given the best opportunities. Toheed now spends his time between the University of Nottingham and Outwood Grange Academies Trust, following his passion for History and Politics at degree level but also helping impact the life of students and tackling inequality. Toheed has a rich background in advocacy for young people, serving as Wakefield\'s Member of UK Youth Parliament for two years, during which he enjoyed representing young people on a national level and speaking in the House of Commons. Furthermore, Toheed has taken part in various roundtables with Government Ministers, including the Prime Minister Keir Starmer MP, in October 2023. Toheed is passionate about amplifying the voices of youth, especially those from underrepresented and marginalised communities, and advocating for their rights and interests.Before studying for a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Politics at the University of Nottingham, Toheed studied Government and Politics, History and English Language at A Level at Outwood Grange Academy, in which he excelled and achieved an A. Toheed achieved 3 As at GCSE level and is the first in his family to pursue further education. Toheed aspires to get a first-class honours degree and train to become a Teacher of History, following his passion for the subject. Toheed is also open to further studying outside of his degree, partaking in short courses and certificates that will enhance his ability to teach in the classroom. Toheed is keen to connect with a wide range of different connections, from education to policy to those within the political sector. Toheed is especially keen to connect with Teach First graduates and trainees as well as those working in Outwood Grange Academies Trust
