I knew before I began my career that I wanted to use my education to make a difference in the world. Now I get to play a part in ending hunger and poverty with both my Journalism and Spanish degrees. As Human Resources Associate Specialist, I played a key role in helping Heifer International comply with various legal requirements, grant requirements and internal requirements by collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders within the organization to develop policies in support of our mission which is to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the earth.Now, as Human Resources Systems Analyst and Human Resources Systems Administrator, I help ensure data integrity in our Human Resources Information System by verifying HR Data and providing ad-hoc reports upon request. While I spend the majority of my time working with the HRIS, my responsibilities also include management and support of various technology in our department such as ticket system, content management system, learning management system, and recruitment system.
