ABOUT TODD T. O. PHILLIPS
I’m a lifelong learner with a deep curiosity about how technology, ethics, and human judgment intersect. In recent years I’ve focused much of my independent study on artificial intelligence and the societal questions it raises. AI is not just a technical development—it’s a shift in how decisions are made, how knowledge is created, and how responsibility is shared between humans and machines. I’m particularly interested in the ethical, philosophical, and business implications of these changes.I explore many of these ideas through my personal blog on Substack, The Village Idiot, where I write about technology, ethics, education, and public policy. The blog is intentionally reflective and occasionally provocative. The goal isn’t to claim expertise—it’s to ask better questions and encourage thoughtful conversation. My interests include:• Artificial intelligence and its impact on work and society• Ethics and philosophy in the age of intelligent systems• Business decision-making in an AI-enabled world• Lifelong learning and intellectual curiosityOutside of work and writing, my greatest pride is my family. I’m the father of three daughters and a proud grandfather. Thinking about the world my granddaughters will grow up in is one of the reasons I care so deeply about the direction of emerging technologies. This LinkedIn page represents my personal voice and perspective. The views expressed here are my own and reflect an ongoing exploration of ideas, not the positions of any organization. If you enjoy thoughtful conversations about technology, ethics, learning, or the future of work, you’ll probably find something here worth discussing.
