ABOUT TODD LEIGHTON

Todd is a Partner at Forge Digital, where he focuses on solving complex engineering challenges through advanced design, simulation, testing, and AI-enabled analysis.Previously, as Director of Experimental Products at AeroTEC, Todd led the development of hardware and test programs spanning experimental aircraft, certification-driven modifications, and advanced aerodynamic investigations. His work consistently bridged concept development, physics-based analysis, and real-world validation. With more than 26 years in aerospace and applied engineering, Todd has supported programs ranging from light aircraft to commercial transports, as well as high-performance marine platforms including three America’s Cup campaigns. His experience spans wind tunnel testing, aerodynamic development, structural design, and integrated flight test.Todd specializes in external aerodynamics and certification-focused development, with additional depth in structural design — particularly landing gear systems. He has designed and tested numerous wind tunnel models to evaluate performance, validate design concepts, and reduce program risk early in development.Across both aerospace and cross-industry programs, Todd’s focus remains consistent: applying advanced tools and disciplined testing to turn innovative concepts into certifiable, real-world solutions that meet performance, cost, and schedule demands.
