ABOUT TIM MENSALVAS
I\'m passionate about the outdoors and making sure my life\'s work contributes to preserving the natural beauty of the environments around us. I believe it\'s important for us to be proactive about sustainable solutions and I want to help provide our society with an efficient and beneficial electrification transition resulting in a cleaner, safer, and more resilient future for our communities.I am currently expanding my experience and knowledge of the clean energy space by supporting the Research and Consulting team at TRC. This includes managing the implementation of a Reach Codes and Building Performance Standards technical assistance program for the Clean Power Alliance and a reach code and electrification TA program for Peninsula Clean Energy/Silicon Valley Clean Energy. Additionally, I am writing an EV Installation guide for the Department of Energy as well as contributing to the research and analysis of load flexible strategies with EV\'s, batteries, and heat pumps.I am also currently managing the EV Charge SF EV Infrastructure (EVI) incentive and technical assistance program for SFPUC, which is designed to support new and existing building projects with installing EVI.Previously at TRC, I oversaw the statewide ME & O efforts for PG & E\'s Energy Savings Assistance Common Area Measures Program which helped to provide energy efficiency solutions to underserved multifamily communities at up to no cost. This resulted in providing much needed load reduction relief and resiliency to the grid, as well as several health, safety, and comfort benefits.Previously at the Center for Sustainable Energy, I lead the ME & O efforts for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project for Fleets programs, supported the San Diego Regional Clean Cities Coalition, as well as supported the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project as an Equipment/Connects Manager. Additional activities included writing and coordinating the CVRP Guide to Fleet Electrification, contributing to the San Diego Green Fleet Action Plan, as well as supporting local clean energy projects and out of state proposals for EV programs. In addition to a passion for the environment, I have a passion for my community. Some side projects include the FDC Foundation, which is a creative scholarship foundation that I founded with some good friends that aims to positively support the youth and art community of San Diego through scholarships and community events. And SOS Oceanside, which is an environmental non-profit focused on bringing back sustainable and resilient beaches to Oceanside.
