Working in the flexible office space sector I’m responsible for the project management, design and installation of IT networks, both wired and Wi-Fi, for new builds and current operational building upgrades.Responsibilities include-• Identifying the location/locations of suitable comms rooms/cabinets throughout buildings and deciding on numbers.• Purchasing of ISP lines and overseeing the installation.• Design and installation of wired networks including Firewalls, Core and Edge Cisco switches. • Oversee infrastructure cabling, copper or fibre to ensure that the network is at it’s fastest and most efficient and is future-proofed. This included h/l data cabling for Wi-Fi AP’s.• Design of cabinet layouts throughout the buildings.• Highly experienced with Ekahau and Hamina Wi-Fi design software using these to create accurate predictive surveys for all types of buildings. • Work closely with construction contractor teams to ensure IT expectations are met and are ready on time.
