My first job out of college was a technical sales consultant. The meat of the TSC gig was picking up the 100lb phone to chat with analytical scientists on garden variety HPLC separation challenges, positioning chromatography solutions accordingly. Zero lab experience & I was supposed to interrupt the busy workdays of scientists & “consult” on workflows they had degrees in? To be clear, those first couple years I learned way more from them than they did from me! A few things I picked up since then:20+ years of commercial/technical sales, account management, & business development experience across life science & applied markets-Exceeded annual revenue growth targets 17/21 years, Sales Rookie of the Year (2005), 2X Salesperson of the year (2008/2013), P-Club 2018, President’s Award 2023, Sales Leader of the Year 2024-Thorough understanding of chromatography based workflow solutions across multiple market verticals-Expertise in creating/executing strategic account plans that cultivate new opportunities for growth-Extensive sales ops knowledge, with start-up experience building commercial process from the ground up-Adept at working cross functionally with Sales/Marketing/R&D and Product/Application teams to deploy GTM strategies-DBS mindset/execution… IYKYKCurrently, I have the pleasure of leading a dream team of chromatography SME’s focused on developing new business opportunities across multiple market verticals - Pharma/Biopharma, Environmental/Food safety, ClinTox/Diagnostics.
