As Police Lieutenant, I lead more than 50 staff members in all police investigations, patrols, and risk management efforts. My expertise lies in recommending actions, compliance, strategic planning, and disaster/recovery planning. I maintain detailed documents, manage multiple projects, oversee specialized staff, control risks, and collaborate with external agencies to complete functions. I perform management, supervision, and technical police work for Investigations, Patrol and Administration. I make risk based decisions on behalf of agency in compliance with policy, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements and recommend actions in response to investigations. I address risk and loss mitigation matters, develop contingency, disaster, and recovery plans, and other crime reports. I prioritize assignments and provide oversight, direction, and staff support to the various divisions and departments throughout the city such as in Investigations, Operations, Training, Volunteers, Detention, and Support Services in addition to the hiring selection and scheduling of personnel. I research and lead various projects; conduct audits, supervise and manage day-to-day operations and conduct assessments, evaluations, schedule work hours and responsible for payroll. In addition, I research, review, update, and create policy and training manuals; write and manage various grants; manage contracts, and conduct business inspections in accordance with law. I work closely with various law enforcement and prosecuting agencies in addition to other government, civic organizations and community stakeholders.
