Alexandria Soccer Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 1970 in Alexandria, Virginia. ASA operates in the City of Alexandria, Virginia, and offers soccer programs for youth and adults. The mission of Alexandria Soccer Association is to provide instructional and competitive soccer programs that develop and motivate youth, build character, and make a positive impact on Alexandria and the surrounding communities. Sportsmanship, social skills, and self-esteem are developed by player participation and regular interaction with volunteer and professional coaches. The Executive Director oversees the execution of the clubs mission and its plan to achieve strategic goals. This includes managing the fourteen full time office/technical staff, fifty professional coaches, over one hundred referees and more than five hundred volunteers to execute the plan and programs. In addition, the ED works closely with the board of directors to manage the organization resources and ongoing evaluation of the mission and vision of the club.
