ABOUT THOMAS JIRALERSPONG
Hey there! I’m a graduate student in artificial intelligence at Mila and Université de Montréal, lucky enough to be co-supervised by Professors Yoshua Bengio and Doina Precup. My research interests are very (very) varied, spanning fundamental and applied AI. I’ve published papers on mechanistic interpretability, large language models, compositionality, causality, neuroAI, discrete representations, and reinforcement learning. Beyond the realm of academia, I’ve dived into the world of industry with hands-on experience in applied AI research (Anthropic, Occam AI & Vector Institute), autonomous driving (Waabi), large-scale software development (Amazon), web development (Expedia), and game development (Square Enix).
