While we were making Easter cards for our parents and the other kids were folding paper in half and writing ‘luv you mum’ in wax crayon, I was trying to figure out I could use a pin as a hinge to create an egg-shaped envelope.I was always attracted to new skills and fascinated by anything artistic or technical. However, in my youth, I didn’t quite have the follow-through needed to see these interests through. But that soon changed when I got to university.During those 4 years earning my journalism degree, I learned guitar, became a close-up magician, got into freelance photography, edited YouTube videos for online gamers, wrote political articles for my local newspaper and re-branded a local food stall. All while making sure my lecturers saw me enough to remember who I was.This eclectic habit of acquiring skills stuck with me as I navigated the marketing world. I’ve been a copywriter, SEO manager, email marketer, social media manager, graphic designer, product photographer, web designer, PPC manager and content marketing specialist. I’ve become a walking, talking marketing toolbox which means my days are always kept interesting and I’m able to satisfy my need to be creative!
