ABOUT MUDDASSIR ALI SYED

Product Design Engineer with over 12 years of experience designing and delivering electrical power and cable systems that enable safe, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure. My career has focused on high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) distribution systems, with applications in substations, renewable integration, and data center cabling. I collaborate on Fault Managed Power Systems (FMPS) committee to develop and create CSA standards. With Nexans, I work on advanced cable technologies that directly support the backbone of modern data centers and AI infrastructure. I bring expertise in simplifying complex designs, improving manufacturability, and reducing the carbon footprint of electrical systems without compromising on reliability. My current focus is bridging product design and applied AI infrastructure, particularly in: • Data Center Power Distribution (HV/MV cabling, redundancy, reliability standards) • Sustainability in Infrastructure (low-loss systems, energy efficiency, BESS integration) • Scalable Design Solutions that make deployment faster and more cost-effective I am passionate about shaping the next generation of data centers that power AI—combining deep electrical engineering knowledge with a forward-looking vision for sustainability and resilience.
