The question is not whether you have biases. The question is: which ones are yours? I studied Medicine out of pure curiosity: how could I live all my life with my body without understanding how it works? Pediatrics taught me something essential: much of who we are depends on the environment we grow up in… and with that environment, biases also come. Sports have always been a constant in my life. One challenge was never enough, so I ended up in triathlon: a master’s in discipline, resilience, and a PhD in reaching the finish line despite difficulties. That same logic is what I apply today to innovation in FemTech · HealthTech · SportsTech. I have seen what it means to face algorithms trained with data that exclude. Products designed for a “typical user” who does not exist. Critical decisions taken on weak or misinterpreted evidence. BIASES ARE NOT ISOLATED ERRORS: THEY ARE PART OF THE SYSTEM. They can hide in the code of an app, in a hiring process, in a product that fails to connect with its audience, or in an internal protocol. And if you don’t detect them in time, they will end up limiting your technology, your investment, or your impact. WHAT I DO TODAY I work with startups, investors and projects that want more than pretty metrics: Detect biases before they scale into products Translate real clinical evidence into usable, trustworthy digital innovation Ensure real, scalable and bias-free impact Rigor does not kill innovation: it makes it more inclusive, more scalable, and more human.
