Managed Credit Settlement department and supervised a staff of 3 whose functions included ach transmission, cash balancing, collections tracking, PCI and Data breach tracking, exceptions monitoring, and daily settlement to four networks (Visa, MasterCard, Voyager, American Express, Wright Express, and Discover). Lead and managed a team of three accountants, including selection/hiring, objective setting, performance management, coaching/development and training. Responsible for the monthly close as well as maintenance of all accounting ledgers including monthly review of all account reconciliations and journal entries. Implement Settlement’s Accounting Policies and procedures as well as interpret guidance in regards to accounting transactions. Ensure completion and review of all balance sheet reconciliations and identify and communicate findings. Undertake special and new projects to generate process improvement and efficiency.
